It had been
raining through the night and the sky was heavy with dark clouds when I woke up

this morning. It was promising to be a good day of ringing. Some trushes and
blackbirds where
whistling. By 1 o’ clock, the wind increased again with a slight rain and I closed a
few nets,
trying to keep the one near the house open a little bit longer. These
ones allowed me to ring
the linnets and a few warblers.

In the end,
I ringed 49 birds today, with a few trushes (1 redwing, 2 songtrush, 1 blackbirds),
a
good number of willow warblers (37), 2 robins, 2 chiffchaffs, 1 wren and 3
linnets
